I have been asking for quite some time now what is my medicine. Today I had a little mini breakdown and surrendered to the Divine. The universe spoke!!
I asked for a symbol and this is what I painted this morning. I see an eye quite a bit when I meditate. AND then what I found in my email today!
People can only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves. Work on becoming the best version of yourself; then will you attract others who are blooming, into your life. Heal yourself first.

And in testing up what I need today, HELLO! This is so ME, flitting from one thing to another! I’ve always said I am a jack of all trades, master of none!
Clarity of Direction
Wild Oat promotes an inner certainty about the vocational direction of one’s life. Those in need of Wild Oat have not yet connected with the inner direction of their Soul that would give them clarity on the direction of their chosen life path. They are often strongly ambitious people with many talents and gifts but as they lack a strong inner sense of how to use them tend to end up flitting from one thing to another. A state of uncertainty that means they are endlessly searching in the outer world for the ‘right’ direction when the answer is actually within themselves.
And then in today’s Daily OM . . .
Maybe you are using a desire you can’t fulfill to distract you from truly engaging the blessings you already have.
A year ago I embarked on my Color of Woman Intentional Creativity teacher training. It helped me through my first year as a widow, pouring myself into writings, the canvas, and holding space with my COW sisters. In the middle or I should say toward the end of the training I moved. The move consumed all my energy and time. When I was finally in my new home I lost my focus and did not graduate in November. I was so close, only a few more assignments left but I was tired emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. I left my home where I spent my entire married life, the home my husband took his last breath in, and moved to a completely new location. I took an extension, not truly knowing if I would complete my training, and I am so thankful I did!!!
Believe in yourself, your gifts, your purpose. My initiate book is being printed, I have finished the last three writing assignments. The moon is a waxing gibbous moon! Wow! Your secret medicine is budding, fruit is forming, take time to notice adjust and refine!!!
Wow, Intentional Creativity, nothing I would have thought I would be drawn too, but for over a year now I have been reconnecting to my inner self, searching for my path. I know creativity is fundamental but being an artist and selling, although enticing, just wasn’t it.
When I first found Shiloh Sophia I thought to myself, nah, this isn’t me, but I NEVER say NEVER! I found myself drawn to creating from within, what I feel. Then healing entered the equation. Art does heal!
So I made a huge decision and applied for Color of Women and was accepted!!! My journey begins in 2019!
I also signed up for Fonda Haight Clark’s Down Deep class. I wanted to take it last year but couldn’t. Here are a couple of journal pages I have done so far.
This horse started off with just a random “throw down” of paint and when I added the Celtic symbol for grief and mourning the horse appeared.
I am not surprised that in each of these pages the horse, the owl and I’m not sure if it’s a hawk or a crow appeared as these are all my spirit animals.
In conjunction with Intentional Creativity I am learning about energy healing which I will incorporate with my COW journey. I will share more about that in another post.
Tea with the Midnight Muse by Shiloh Sophia is a wonderful book, invocations and inquiries for awakening!
In one of her chapters she asks question(s) as to what is your tree of life, how does it feel, etc. . . As I read her book at night I don’t often write down what I think but I am going to have to do it as a practice. This is my answer to her question.
MY TREE OF LIFE is an oak tree. It feels rough, weathered, but strong and loving, supportive. My tree is tall and broad with many branches reaching out into the universe. The leaves are emerald green, shaped like a diamond. It offers shade and protection from predators for many animals, such as birds, squirrels and turkeys. Her roots reach out like tentacles, gnarly with age and wisdom, grounding deep into mother earth.
